The Schönbrunn Palace was the summer residence of the house of Habsburg. It was designed in 1688 by architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach and was concluded in 1780. During the 800 had its golden age. In 1996 the castle and the garden have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Today the building has 1,441 rooms: some intended for government use, other (190) open to the public as a museum.

Among the many rooms there is the "Grand Gallery". This is at the center of the building is over 40 meters long and is characterized by the high windows facing the garden, the numerous crystal mirrors, gilded stucco rococo, 60 wall lamps and two huge chandeliers.
