Saint Irene (from Lecce), was a young very charming. He converted and destroyed some pagan statues of his father, sending him into a rage. Who then he tried to kill her, tying it to a runaway horse, remaining, however, he himself killed because of an animal bite. Later, Irene with his prayers brought back to life the father. It became, for this fact, a Christian model, which led to numerous conversions. The outcome of which was condemned to death.
Poetry of St. Irene lido
St. Irene, is my muse and cradle the holidays in a divine rest. In its beaches, secret, encloses the empyrean with a sunny beach water and sky. Such is the providence, that welcomes every trip, every right, every essay. Today hides under the water the treasures of the sea: The rescued life in another hemisphere. Umberto F. M. Cefalà
