Arezzo is an ancient Tuscan city that arose from settlements of pre-Etruscan era and already constituted in the ninth century BC an urban area with the name of Arıtım. In Etruscan times it was an influential city and became a lucumonia (ie the Lucumone district). In 295 BC with the defeat of Roselle it was conquered by the Romans and was later Latinized (even in the name Arretium). In Roman times he took advantage of its strategic position for the defense of Rome in order to enrich themselves and tried to always maintain a degree of autonomy even with the construction of public facilities such as the theater, the baths and the amphitheater. In subsequent periods, he played a central role both political and strategic, became Ghibelline, participated in the battle of Campaldino (1289) against the Sienese-Florentine armies and saw the defeat near Poppi.

Poetry Tourist in Arezzo Narrative Rhymes
Reach
from rain to sun
through the alleys
with memory stones
narrow in the know,
away from fashions
and with the green
oxygenate
the path already caught.
find
besides awakening
the gentle art.
Loving is currently observed.
