This is a 42-route course of about 1,000 km that can be traveled on foot or by bicycle in one or more days.
On the occasion of the World Forum on Urban Forests from November 28th to December 1st 2018 there will also be the variant Walk Forests URBANE 2018, a series of walks to discover urban parks aimed at all citizens.
In particular, for 21 November 2018 at 20.45 a night walk is planned with departure from the North Lake; for 25 November 2018 at Oxygen Zambon (Bresso) a conference will be held at 10.00 am, at 11.00 am a short walk to the Rivolta Park and then a planting.
The protection of the environment is a question of socio-cultural importance that becomes more and more relevant with increasing population density and urbanization.
Just consider that in Europe the only virgin forest is the Białowieża forest (located between Belarus and Poland) and is the last part of the ancient forest that once stretched across the continent.
Here are some simple precautions to reduce the environmental impact of every day:
transport
- prefer traveling on foot, by bicycle or using public transport;
- prefer the purchase of local and seasonal products (better if km 0);
heating
- adjust the thermostat to a temperature below 20 degrees;
- place some draft excluders in correspondence with doors and windows;
- place heat-reflecting panels behind the radiators;
waste
- prefer the purchase of products in bulk and with minimum packaging (including food products);
- take the shopping bag from home;
- prefer recovery of "waste" (packaging, boxes, etc.);
- make separate collection in a correct manner;
- prefer bottles of water from a source near or better (if possible) that of the tap;
- prefer digital rather than paper (do not waste paper);
water
- prefer the shower rather than the bathtub;
- close the tap while brushing your teeth;
- prefer the dishwasher rather than hand washing;
- use the washing machine and dishwasher only when fully loaded;
electricity
- use energy-saving lamps such as LEDs (avoid traditional incandescent bulbs);
- prefer the complete shutdown of electronic devices rather than the stand by;
- turn off the light bulbs / lights when you do not need them;
extraordinary expenses
- to prefer the purchase of hybrid or electric vehicles;
- prefer the purchase of appliances with a good energy class;
- improve the thermal insulation of the dwelling.
The interstellar house I will not see natural paradises balance the necessary life. I will not see national green parks preserve the centenary earth. Artificial forests already arise like an arbitrary view. Rivers flow into the canals purified for health protection. I dream of the evolution of animals and the return to the most varied nature.
