It is a collection of poems dedicated to the painter Lorenzo Chinnici and contains images of paintings with short thematic poems.
To describe the book, it would suffice to note that both the poet and the painter are Sicilian.
From this derives an evident coherence of the poetic language with the pictorial one. Thus the short and suggestive lines combine with the colors of the paintings, few and vivid.
In particular, it should be pointed out that the poems have that Sicilian timbre - perhaps proper to the dialectal language - with the prevalence of the words on the completed sentence. The result is a style without patterns and full of repetitions as in the following extract: Sea blue, bitter blue, methylene dazzles the heart. Blu has light, dawn enchants with candor.
The book contains representations of Sicilian maritime and bucolic traditions and above all of the concept of the sea, understood metaphorically as dedication to work and depth of mind.
