Italy is among the nations with the lowest birth rate. For the year 2022, the average number of births per woman is approximately 1.24, down compared to the previous one of 1.46 in 2010. Therefore, the number of children per woman is not sufficient to keep the demographic share stable.
Since 2014 the population has decreased by almost 2,000,000 people.
The decrease in population will produce effects in multiple sectors.
As far as GDP is concerned, technology will have to make up for it, allowing the new generations to reach sufficient levels of productivity to keep the country going.
As regards pensions, there will be a decrease in contributions paid with the need to use other income to refinance pensions.
Other sectors will certainly also be affected.
For this reason every birth in Italy is welcome and should be supported.



To the new life

Birth will know about your life
and he will have the world as it is, decadent.
Ethereal perfection has escaped,
leaves you in the mocking arena.

At the beginning you will be more aggressive,
you will satisfy cravings skillfully
and you will find the purpose, the success.
That will then become apparent.

You will always be searching and far away,
starting from the most maternal embrace.
Under the right love, which heals,
